aversham Choral Society are proud to present Handel's Four Coronation Anthems plus excerpts from his Messiah. This includes Zadok the Priest, the most popular of the anthems, a joyous and commanding culmination of voices and orchestra.  One of George I last acts was to sign an "Act of naturalisation of George Frideric Händel and others". Handel's first commission as a newly naturalised British subject was to write the music for the coronation of George II of Great Britain and Queen Caroline..
